Was reading today that 350s are going to be used on the east croydon to milton keynes services to free up some 377/2s for thameslink, I thought 2 classes of desiro through clapham junction was enough wasn't it Laughing

Are the 350s geared to run on the third rail? And are they transfers for another TOC?

They still got some dual voltage 350s they are the ones that are going to be used, and yeh they are just going to be used until the 377/5s are ready for fcc so southern can have their 377/2s back.

Wern't the 350/1s originally part of a 450 order for SWT, but it was cancelled, so they were made into 350s? Hence why they have the 3rd rail shoe gear?
